Judy Bourke
Printmaking, Sculpture, Artists’ Books and textiles are my preferred methods of working. My works are either a personal comment or a comment on a general situation that affects me. Sometimes I gathering together objects and rearrange them. Collections of objects, sometimes becomes a book form and other times a relief sculpture. I like the challenge of finding some discarded objects often packaging and creating something new from them; like museum collections but in another way of recording and storing. Objects kept for many years find their way into an installation. I like to put objects together and present them to an audience in away they would not have otherwise seen. I like making new connections and seeing objects in a different way. Other times I make prints with either waterbased or oil paints and archival papers. I am interested in making Zines. They can be simple and uncomplicated. I just love to make things.
