I live by the ocean; the sea and its surroundings influence my art practice. 
Inspiration is everywhere, and this is reflected in the drawings and paintings you see here. Whether it be harbour life, dramatic landscapes of the coastline, sunshine or storm, there is so much to enjoy in painting life here on the coast.

In my paintings and drawings, I strive to capture not only light and drama, or peace and tranquility, but a sense of the world around me, whether it be a landscape or a study of members of the local life drawing group sketching.

My work could be described as being of a narrative contemporary style with drawing being a strong basis for works in pencil, pastel, watercolour, oil, or acrylic paint. Lately I have been working with watercolours canvas;  this imparts a traditional feel to the work whilst presenting it in a more contemporary way.
